  1.父亲和他的儿子THEFATHERANDHISSONS   Fatherhadafamilyofsonswhowereperpetuallyquarrellingamongthemselves.Whenhefailedtohealtheirdisputesbyhisexhortations,hedeterminedtogivethemapracticalillustrationoftheevilsofdisunion;andforthispurposeheonedaytoldthemtobringhimabundleofsticks.Whentheyhaddoneso,heplacedthefaggotintothehandsofeachoftheminsuccession,andorderedthemtobreakitinpieces.Theyeachtriedwithalltheirstrength,andwerenotabletodoit.
